SLEEPS 2-4 - Suitable for a couple or a family with 2 children
First Floor Accommodation

Everything included, all linen, towels, electricity and central heating.

The front door is reached by a flight of lovely old sand stone steps. This part of the property used to be the hayloft attached to the main farmhouse, which was built in 1776. It is opposite the big barn, which was built considerably later. At the top of the steps is a wonderful balcony with a view to the west stretching over to Bassenthwaite Lake and Sale Fell opposite.

There is a table and 4 chairs for you to sit out in the evening to enjoy seeing the sunset. The front door opens into a spacious living room, which has a very high ceiling and lots of old beams. At the far end is a well-fitted kitchen with an electric cooker, fridge, microwave oven and local green slate work surfaces. There is seating for four around an old oak dining table. In the sitting area there is a 3-seater sofa and basket chair, a TV, DVD player and a radio.

Bedrooms:

There is one bedroom with either a super king bed or two single beds. This is on the same floor as the living room. Next to this, through a door is a small dressing room area with a built in wardrobe. This area is also suitable for a cot. Above the first bedroom is a double bed on a mezzanine floor, which is accessed by stairs from the dressing room/small childs room.

This property is not suitable for 2 couples due to the layout of the bedrooms.

The bathroom is very large with bath and a shower over. WC and washbasin.

Throughout there are high ceilings with lots of beams, which make the property very attractive to live in. You are welcome to sit/walk/play in our extensive garden and there is plenty of parking. There is a laundry room in the big barn, which you are welcome to use, and a terrific drying area for soggy coats and boots.

Also in the barn is a table tennis table for the use of all.  

PLEASE NOTE: Not available during the winter - from 1st November to Easter 2011.

All linen included and welcome basket.
